INSIDE DENALI NATIONAL PARK

We took a nature tour by bus into Denali National Park. We saw a moose and a grizzly bear up close but they moved off quickly so we did not get any pictures. We saw other moose and dall sheep but were very far off. Even with binoculars they were basically brown or white dots with legs. The cabin was used by construction workers as they developed road access into the park. It is used today by the park rangers and dogsled teams. Click on the sign to read the information. Then click on the back arrow to return to the blog. Click on the picture of the side of the cabin to enlarge the picture. You will notice spikes through the window shutter. The spikes keep grizzlies from getting into the windows. There are claw marks showing on the shutters and frame. Photos of the landscape. The last pictures are of a leader of the Athabascan Tribe who spoke about his home village, his personal experiences growing up, and the culture of his tribe.
