From Denali National Park to Anchorage, AK
We boarded the train at Denali for our trip to Anchorage. We went through some very beautiful areas as the pictures show. It was cloudy so we did not see Mt. Mckinley. The trip took about 9 hours rather than 8 since we had to wait for rail crews while they were fixing some rail spots. We went through Gov Sarah Palin's hometown of Wasilla, AK. We arrived in Anchorage at about 10 pm and hit the hay. The next morning we had a whole day to do things before our red eye flight to Minneapolis at 10 pm. We hopped on a city tour bus and check out the highlights of the city. Later, we toured the Alaska Ulu factory and watched salmon making their run up the river to spawn. Later that afternoon we sipped wine and had snacks at the hotel until the shuttle bus took us to the airport at 7:30 pm. We got back to Mpls. at 6 am.
